About
Daniel Myers is a dance-artist born along the North-Eastern coast of Yorkshire, England. At 11 years old, he began five years of training at The Royal Ballet School before finishing his studies in ballet and contemporary styles at English National Ballet School, London.
He graduated in 2017 with a Trinity College Diploma in Professional Dance and moved to Europe to begin his career. Over the last ten years, he has collaborated in the creation of over 30 works; performing with Ballett Oper Graz, Hessisches Staatsballett, Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company and Teaċ Daṁsa.
Since 2025, he has shifted towards a freelance position, directing his skills, creative energy and passionate approach towards developing his own work, alongside continuing to build relations with choreographers and collaborators who he feels share a common ground with his own world.
My Practice
Throughout the last ten years in the professional field, I have been lucky enough to have developed a wide range of both performance and practice based tools and understandings of the body in dance.
The stage has become a place of great respect for me. Any chance to share dance and stories is precious. I feel blessed to have enjoyed many opportunities to perform dance and in a variety of forms. Ranging from set choreography to completely improvised shows, all whilst experiencing a vibrant manner of relationships - from solos and duets to larger group experiences.
The work in the studio has truly become one of my favourite parts of being a dancer - not only does the studio offer space to practice, but it has started to feel like a “diary”. Acting as vital space to process and understand the changing body, in whatever expression or language is present. Whether I’m working alone with another, the magic of exploring how dance exists inside us as individuals is found at its deepest in the studio.
